As Brick Lane Productions, we planned, plotted and produced an amazing programme of entertainment celebrating 100 years of Londons most popular department store, Selfridges.
From Vogue workshops, where Jonny Woo and his troupe of trannies taught shoppers the art of the VOGUE down the escalators, to live music on our Big Yellow Stage featuring VV Brown, Frank Musik and Patrick Wolf, to Fashion Shows on Saturday where the escalators became moving runways to Cabaret Sundays where the crhme de la crhme performed for diners' delectation featuring le Gateaux Chocolat, Marawa the Amazing and the Correspondents. All this was wrapped up in a big yellow present by the Gordon Selfridge and the Selfridgettes a fabulous collective of divas, singers, actresses and DJ dressed in Giles Deacon creations meeting and greeting shoppers throughout the store. Our highlight - The Launch Party where Joanie met Lilly and Boris Johnson sang happy birthday with Jonny Woo and the Selfridgettes!
Selfridges, London
A powerful programme of Selfridges Firsts - never seen before experiences.
I loved it!
